spoken English. The test is divided into three parts.

Part 2 Speak on a topic.

Part I Read aloud the part between the stars and then answer the questions the examiner asks you.
Xu Ming and Wang Lei planned to visit their foreign teacher Mr Bill Holl and thatevening. They wanted to talk about the coming exams. That afternoon after class they called the Foreign Teachers' Office to make an appointment with him. Mr Holland was very busy that evening, but he made arrangements for them to come to his apartment the next evening at seven. *
The next evening the boys arrived at Mr Holland's door at seven sharp. Mr Holland was very pleased to see them. "You are very punctual," he said. They talked about many things and enjoyed the coffee Mr Holland offered them. They came away with a lot of good advice from their teacher. It was a very rewarding evening.
Part 2 Speak on the following topic for about 2 minutes.

Part 3 Complete a role-play task with your examiner. Your conversation should last about 4 minutes.
A meets B, a teacher of the Foreign Languages Department on the campus. You are A. You start the conversation with B. The following is the procedure you should follow.
● Exchange greetings with B.
● Congratulate B on the publication of a textbook written by him/her.
● You are asked to give an announcement to the class for a lecture the next afternoon.
● Go to the classroom and give an announcement according to the following
information.
